Junior ReviewerNo help from Ryobi just the run around! I took this joke of a weedeater back to home depot and got a real weed eater makita! No problems now and they stand behind their products!
My son got me the weed eater as a gift battery combo from Home Depot this Christmas. I went to put the weed eater together and the screws for the grass deflector were missing from the box.
I contacted *** only to be told to send them a copy of the receipt. I told them it was a gift and they offered no help, only to be told again to send a copy of the receipt. They don't stand behind their products! Just a poor company with cheap tools!
Poor company if there is a problem you will just get the run around from customer support. I have over 15 emails and every email you get you get a new support person that never solves the problem! They dont honor their warranty! All lies!
You will get one email a day for over two weeks trying to get you to give up! Never again will I buy any of their products! They make you feel like you're trying to cheat them out of 4 screws. What a sad and poor company!
I sent them photos and receipts and still got no reply for something as simple as 4 screws!
Just do a Google search, you will see all the problems and the poor reviews! Customer service is a joke!

Get the receipt from your son.
If your son didn’t/wont give you the receipt, shame on him. How are you supposed to register the warranty?
(forget the screws).
Your easy fix is to take the instructions to Depot or Lowe’s and get assistance matching screw type/size listed with a small package in-store. Shouldn’t be more than $4.
