Verified Reviewer |Weed eater attachment motor died.
After my weed eater (40V) died, I was told the motor was discontinued, and no replacement was offered. Terrible customer service in my eyes.
- No replacement motor
Preferred solution: New motor

Verified Reviewer |Ryobi does not stand behind their products
I bought a pack of two Ryobi Nailers that contained an 18 gauge and 16 gauge nail guns. About a year or so later, I needed the 16 gauge nailer so decided to load it with nails and begin using it.
Once loaded, I couldn't get the magazine to push the nails into place. As I looked closely, I found the magazine was cracked. I contacted [PERSON_NAME] who had me send them the nailer. They sent it back to me in the same condition.
When I followed up, they said they do not cover cosmetic issues. They could clearly see the gun had never been used but would not repair it. Now I need to buy a new 16 gauge nailer. Really considering going to a different brand other than Ryobi.
I would not recommend anything Ryobi to anyone. Even if I have to buy new batteries for a different brand, I think it will be worth it based on Ryobis lack of customer service.
I understand I had 90 days to return or exchange it but I did not know there was an issue until I went to use it. If you purchase a product, at least test it out immediately so you don't run into the same issue as I did.
User's recommendation: Do not buy Ryobi.

Verified Reviewer |Horrible batteries. No accountability from the company. No real customer support.
- - Batteries failed to hold charge and died within a year.
- - Support was unhelpful; replacement batteries cost about 25% of mower and we switch brands.
My wife and I bought a RYOBI riding mower less than 4 years ago. From the start, the batteries struggled to hold a charge, and eventually could not at all.
RYOBI customer support was very unhelpful, and simply told us that we needed to buy replacement batteries, which cost nearly 25% of what we paid for the mower itself. We bought new batteries, which worked well for a few months, until they too struggled and died completely in less than a year. RYOBI customer support, again, was very unhelpful and simply said that the batteries were not under warantly, and the only solution was to buy more. At this point, if we were to buy new batteries, we would have paid for the mower, and then paid another 50% of the original cost in replacment batteries in less than 4 years.
We refuse to do that.
How can a company that sells battery-based products have such awful batteries and refuse to replace them or offer any assistance when they die so soon / often. We will switch to a new brand, never buy RYOBI products again, and recommend that anyone considering electric products does not buy from RYOBI either.
Horrible batteries.
No accountability from the company.
No real customer support.
- When the batteries are brand new it works great
- Batteries die so fast and are expensive so it is not worth itendlessly buying batteries
User's recommendation: Do not buy Ryobi. Go with another brand.

Better customer serviceI was having issues with my power washer. I called to try and troubleshoot.
All they did was give a telephone number of a place a 100 miles away. I did call them very nice people.
But I am not driving a 100 miles to drop off and have them look so I can drive back up there. That is 400 miles total.
I was able to troubleshoot on my own got it working.
- Fair price
- Customer service seems to have dropped the ball
Preferred solution: Apology

Verified ReviewerWe can’t help you. But I didn’t quit.
Your answer was to give me another phone number and when I called them their response was that they keep getting calls and they dont know why since they have no knowledge of anything pertaining to Ryobi. They wished the calls would stop. Yet they continue.
Slow down the speed of the 21 inch RYOBI cutter
- - Mower is too fast at the slowest setting; needs a lower speed.
- - Staff placed on hold for a tech, asked for serial, then disconnected; fourth call.
I called because my 21 inch dual cut RYOBI lawnmower when you set it at the slowest speed is still too fast. Call to find out a way to adjust the speed lower.
The rep put me on hold and talk to a technician and got back to me needing my serial number and I gave it to her. Then she says OK hold on and I will get back to you as to what he says.
Then I was disconnected from the phone call. This is the fourth time Ive called in regards to that issue.

I bought a battery-operated lawn mower. And it did not come with the battery.
I tried to take it back to the store, and they would not accept it because I do not have the receipt. Now I got to buy a battery separately.
Preferred solution: Well , I don't wanna pay a hundred and seventy dollars for a battery in a charger that was supposed came with my lawn mower

Handle snapped right off after 2nd use. It wasn't under heavy load either.
For the price you pay, now I'm left with a 3 in 1 tool can't use any of it. Bad purchase.

I bought my mower at the end of last summer and barely used it, babied it, and kept it in my basement. Today it literally just died for no apparent reason. The battery was full, and it just shut off.

I'm an older gentleman (78) and still do my yard work. The problem I'm having is removing the batteries from my lawn mower.
Because of my grip, I can't pull the batteries out easily.
Could your company place a strap so it's easy to pull out the batteries? Thank you from an old guy.
- Enjoy its use and ease of them
Preferred solution: Improving equipment for customers
User's recommendation: It makes life easy for old guys with gripping problems
